Brittany Zimmer AGACNP is an instructor with the School of Nursing. She is an alumni of Southeastern Louisiana University where she obtained her BSN and then furthered her education at Northwestern State University where she obtained her MSN specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Before joining faculty, she specialized in Nephrology and Internal Medicine for the past 6 years of clinical practice. Her teaching focus is mainly with clinical courses, skills labs, and lecture courses on the health and treatment of the adult population with a focus on the aging sector. While not currently involved in any research, she maintains current in practice through attending educational conferences and patient care.
