Dr. David Nickell is an Associate Professor of Marketing and the Edgar R. Smith III Endowed Professor of Business at Southeastern Louisiana University. Teaching courses in Marketing Strategy, Marketing Management, and Marketing Research. He is the recipient of the Nissi Foundation International Fellow grant (2014), winner of the Highly Commended Paper award from the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing (2014), and was nominated for Paper of the Year in Sport Marketing by the American Marketing Association (2020). His research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, and the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing. With more than 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Nickell has designed and implemented high-impact marketing strategies for organizations such as Nabisco, Honeywell, UPS, Chick-fil-A, Aflac, Kimberly-Clark, and the Atlanta Falcons. He earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from Georgia State University, his MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky.
