Erin Hoffman, RN, MSN, CNE, is a seasoned nurse educator with over 16 years of experience in the Nursing Department at Southeastern Louisiana University. She holds a Registered Nurse Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University, which she earned in 2009.
As an educator, Erin is committed to fostering a supportive and respectful learning environment where students feel empowered to succeed. She holds her students to high standards, balancing these expectations with compassionate, clear guidance and personalized support to help them reach their full potential.
Beyond her academic work, Erin is dedicated to serving her community, with a personal interest in caring for families navigating the adoption process. Her volunteer efforts have been recognized with a Pam Kinamore award from the St. Elizabeth Foundation.
Specializing in Women's Health, Erin teaches courses in this area while also teaching in the Pediatrics lab. Her professional interests lie in exploring innovative teaching methods, particularly through simulation and the use of telehealth for competency labs.
