Besides teaching physics at all levels of the curriculum, my current focus is to lead students in co-curricular NASA-funded experiments. Students design and build their own instruments that are launched into the upper atmosphere and ionosphere using high-altitude balloons and sounding rockets. The students apply their physics coursework in a professionally-authentic environment and learn skills that are not part of the traditional physics curriculum.
