Dr. Kulkin is an associate professor in the social work program in the Department of Health and Human Sciences. She earned an MSW and a PhD from Tulane university.
Her research focus is on disenfranchised grief and pet loss as well as Lyme disease. She wrote a book entitled, Lyme disease, trauma, and disenfranchised grief. Dr. Kulkin worked as a psychotherapist in a variety of settings with a variety of clients with different diagnoses. She is a licensed clinical social worker and a board approved clinical supervisor.
