Dr. Davis is an Assistant Professor at Southeastern Louisiana University. She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, in a variety of courses, including clinical and didactic courses. She is the Accelerated BSN coordinator and currently serves as the undergraduate curriculum chair, as well as many curriculum-related task forces. Dr. Davis also coordinates Study Abroad programs for the Nursing and Health Science Department.
Dr. Davis is also a Registered Nurse in a Psychiatric Emergency Department and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. She is currently a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN). Areas of nursing specialty include emergency care, trauma, mental and behavioral health, forensics, and research.
Education specialties include nursing education, leadership and organizational health, and critical care. Research interests include anti-intellectualism, nursing ethics, philosophy & socioeconomic components of nursing, mental illness, global engagement, and student engagement.
