Jordan Smith-Kenning

Jordan Smith-Kenning is Director of the Southeastern Northshore STEM Center (LaSTEM Region 9), where she leads the center's work as a central hub connecting community, industry partners, and post-secondary education to the region's emerging workforce and their families. She serves as Program Manager of STEM Scholars, a program that pairs high school students with faculty, industry, and near-peer mentors and builds their path to a STEM career through project-based learning. She also cultivates the partnerships behind the center's wider programming: industry tours and job shadowing, internships and summer work experiences, regional robotics competitions and science fairs, and works with an advisory committee of regional stakeholders to keep the center's offerings aligned with real workforce demand.

With an MBA and a background spanning the professional sector and secondary education, Jordan is a persistent advocate for STEM pathways that give young people ages 15–25 a clear line from the classroom to a career.
