Dr. Laura Squires is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Research in the Graduate Counseling Program. Her dissertation topic focused on understanding how or if a licensed professional counselor integrated a client's gender into their diagnostic process. She holds a PhD. from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, as well as trained in brainspotting.

The diagnostic process, in particular how gender impacts diagnostic decisions. Her expertise also includes supervision, clinical therapeutic skills in a private setting, and trauma.
