Dr. Mario Krenn is a faculty member in the College of Business at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he teaches Strategic Management, Family Business Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Louisiana State University, specializing in strategic management and research methods, and also holds a Master’s in Social and Applied Economics from Johannes Kepler University, Austria, and an MBA from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Dr. Krenn’s research focuses on corporate governance, institutional theory, and national differences in business systems. His work has been published in journals including Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society, Management Research Review, and Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance, and he has presented at major conferences such as the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. He is a recipient of the Ronald B. Shuman Best Paper Award from the Management History Division at the 68th Academy of Management Meeting.
Before academia, Dr. Krenn gained professional experience in his family business and as a market analyst for a multinational consumer electronics company in Austria. His teaching and professional experience allow him to bring practical insights and global perspectives into the classroom.
