Dr. Paul R. Sawyer is a Professor of English and the Coordinator of Professional and Technical Writing. He earned a PhD in English with a concentration in Professional and Technical Writing from Illinois State University in 1997.
Dr. Sawyer’s expertise centers on Professional and Technical Writing as well as all aspects of Online Instruction. His current research addresses technical writing’s influence on automotive advertising in the 1960s—particularly the Ford Mustang. He has published in several academic journals. He has presented research at local, regional, national, and international conferences. All of Dr. Sawyer’s courses are structured to teach students the writing skills they will need to excel in the workplace.
