Dr. Peggy Campbell is a Professor of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) in the Department of Health and Human Sciences at Southeastern Louisiana University. A member of the faculty since 1994 (Professor since 2006; Graduate Faculty since 2002), she earned her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University and has been a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) since 2007 through the National Council on Family Relations. At Southeastern, Dr. Campbell teaches Professional Development in HDFS, Individual and Family Development Across the Lifespan, Parenting Issues and Education, Fatherhood, and Family Life Education. She is consistently recognized by students for clear instruction, well-organized courses, prompt and supportive communication, and genuine care for student learning, and ability to create an engaging, supportive environment—especially in online settings.

Area of Expertise

Dr. Campbell is known for her expertise in effective online pedagogy, professional development for students across HDFS concentrations, and applying family science to everyday life. She encourages students to use these insights to strengthen relationships, navigate challenges, and contribute meaningfully in both personal and professional contexts.
