Rachael Morgan is an Instructor in the School of Nursing at Southeastern Louisiana University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2005 and her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2013. Morgan began her career at Southeastern teaching in the area of Fundamentals. She now teaches in the area of Maternal Newborn, leading as course coordinator in the lecture and in the lab setting.

With 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse on a Labor & Delivery unit in Baton Rouge, Morgan has specialized expertise in Maternal Newborn nursing. Additionally, she practices as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, caring for vulnerable populations post sexual assault and is certified in adult/ adolescent forensic care.

As a passionate and dedicated nursing instructor, Morgan’s mission is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world clinical practice. Morgan believes that the most effective learning happens when students connect academic concepts to tangible situations. Since joining the faculty, Morgan has been recognized for her commitment to excellence in nursing education, earning a nomination for a DAISY Award Honoree for Nurse Educators and earning the Faculty Mentor Award.
