Sarah Cooper, M.A. is a Hammond native, Southeastern alum and an adjunct professor in the department of Communication and Media Studies. She received her Master of Arts in Organizational Communication in December 2020 and began teaching in January of 2021. Along with Public Speaking, she has taught English as a Second Language in Galicia, Spain educating students while simultaneously learning their languages (Spanish and Galician) and immersing herself in their culture. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and learning languages such as Spanish and American Sign Language.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2018, she received her Master of Arts in Organizational Communication in December 2020.

During her undergraduate career, she completed her senior thesis entitled “For Shame”: A Thematic Analysis of the Impact of Addiction on Family Communication and Personal Development as based on the series Shameless. After presenting her findings to her peers, family and community, she was able to present for a second time at the Pop & American Culture in the South Conference hosted in Wilmington, North Carolina in 2019.
