Dr. Sarah Scanlon is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling Program in the Department of Health and Human Sciences. Dr. Scanlon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2016) and Master of Science in Counseling (2019) from Southeastern Louisiana University. She went on to earn her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (2024) from the University of Holy Cross. In addition to joining the faculty in 2025, Dr. Scanlon provides mental health counseling services as a licensed professional counselor.

Area of Expertise

Dr. Scanlon's area of expertise include trauma-informed practice, trauma work, and vicarious trauma. She has provided numerous presentations on these topics and plans to continue to expand her expertise in these areas through her research.
