Dr. Susan Prude earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1993, her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Healthcare Systems Management from Loyola University New Orleans in 2009, and her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing with a dual focus in Education and Administration from William Carey University in 2016.
Her professional background includes practice in neonatal intensive care, nursing administration, and risk management. These experiences provided a strong foundation for her transition into nursing education. Dr. Prude is an Associate Professor at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she has taught across the undergraduate, MSN and DNP programs. She has also served as Chair for several DNP students and undergraduate honors thesis students. She currently serves as Interim Graduate Nursing Director for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Dr. Prude is a member of the Louisiana State Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and maintains a strong commitment to advancing the nursing profession. Her research interests focus on neonatal care and nursing education.
