Michael Daugherty returns to Pottle with two new works of his being performed. Dreams of Dali is his homage to the Spanish surrealist artist, Salvador Dalí. Dona Nobis Pacem, which translates “Give Us Peace” is a new setting of the hymn, dedicated to the memory of Glen Adsit, who was the Director of Bands at the Hartt School of Music. Glen passed away last year, and this work is dedicated to his memory. Additional works include Paul Dooley’s Fantasy of Color is inspired by Baroque artwork and the genre of musical fantasias popularized by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Viet Cuong’s John and Jim the contributions of Jim Obergefell and John Arthur who brought Marriage Equality to the United States of America.
