The Friends of Sims Library have sponsored various other events that include author
readings and signings, panels featuring mystery and food writers, a book club, a piano
concert, and a cabaret co-sponsored with the Columbia Theatre and featuring New Orleans
artists Raynel Shepard and Harry Mayronne. The Friends also co-sponsor the long-running
