Contents: Psychotherapy.net features 298 psychotherapy and counseling videos from the Full Collection and 41 from the Social Work Collection (339 total videos). The videos feature therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals conducting therapy and demonstrating clinical skills and techniques. The database supports searching videos by approach, including Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Evidence-Based, family therapy, Existential-Humanistic, and other therapeutic approaches. Users can also locate videos by therapeutic issue, by expert, or by population. Videos are divided into sections for easy navigation and include synchronized transcripts that can be downloaded or printed. Many videos include a downloadable instructor’s manual.

Notes: Permissions allow for in-class viewing and for video content to be used in learning or course management systems (including Moodle). The database supports the creation of video clips which can be stored in the platform’s Video Library. Permalinks and embed codes allow sharing and direct linking for clips and videos in a course management system. Streaming videos have captions and English subtitles. Videos may be viewed by multiple simultaneous users.

Help: The platform provides a User Guide and list of FAQs with information about using these streaming videos. Videos are optimized for viewing on personal computers using Chrome or other browsers. Videos will stream on IPads and other mobile devices (but cannot be viewed on non-OS devices). Also, some functions of the platform may not be fully supported on mobile devices.
