HAMMOND – Four students received Southeastern Louisiana University College of Nursing and Health Sciences' highest honor, the Dean's Award, at the college's annual honors convocation held April 28 in the university Alumni Center.
The Dean's Award in the Department of Health and Human Sciences was presented to Victoria Bruno of Monroe and a resident of Hammond; the award in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies went to Crystal Gonzalez of Hammond and Erin St. Pierre of Larose; and the School of Nursing Dean's Award was presented to Grace LeDoux of Baton Rouge.
The Significant Partnership Award was presented by each department in recognition of contributions to the educational programs in the college. ¬¬¬¬Linda Starns, representing Renew/Discovery in Baton Rouge, accepted the award from the Department of Health and Human Sciences for providing internship opportunities for students in counseling. The Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans, represented by Tammy Swindle, was recognized by the Kinesiology and Health Studies Department. The School of Nursing honored Pediatria Health Care for Kids in Baton Rouge; accepting that award were Jenna Aucoin and Lauren Danielle.
