What are your hours of operation?

Normal business hours are 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m Monday through Thursday and
7:00 a.m - 12:30 p.m. Friday. During the summer semester, we are open 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Friday.
Textbook Rental will offer extended evening and weekend hours during the first week of classes and during finals.  These hours will be communicated to the campus each semester.

When can I check out my books?

Book check out begins the Monday of the week before the first day of class.

Can I purchase my books?

Yes, books are available for purchase.

Can I get a rental refund for books purchased?

If a student purchases a book from Textbook Rental within the first three weeks of class, the rental fee is refunded.

How do I return my books?

Anyone (family, friend, etc.) may return your books without your Southeastern ID to Textbook Rental.  You may also return your books by mail to:

If returning books by mail, the customer is responsible for all shipping charges and the shipment must by postmarked by the posted return deadline to avoid fees.  

After returning books, review Self-Service View Book History to ensure all books have been marked as returned. PRINT PAGE AS YOUR RECEIPT.

Do I need my Southeastern ID to check in my books?

No, your Southeastern ID is not required when returning your books.  However, you or the person designated to return your books must have your University ID (W#).

Why can't I check out a book that is not set up for the class?

The academic department advises Textbook Rental of which books should be made available for each class.

What are the return deadlines?

Books are due the first business day following the last day of final exams. The exact date will be communicated through email reminders to your University email account.

Students will be charged a fine if books are returned the 2nd business day through 5th business day following the last day of final exams.  Any late book not returned by the 5th business day following the last day of final exams will be charged the price of a new replacement book that was communicated during rental checkout.

What if I drop my class?

If you drop a class during the normal University add/drop period a refund for the rental fee for that class will be processed providing the textbook is returned within 2 weeks of the posted last day to drop/add.
