     HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences honored top graduates at its annual honors convocation April 20.
     Departmental awards and scholarships were presented to the following:
    ABITA SPRINGS – Jenna Hildebrand, Outstanding Senior Award in Graphic Design.
    AMITE – Nicole St. Martin, Outstanding Senior Award in Psychology.
    BATON ROUGE – Aimee Cullen, Director’s Award for Academic Excellence.
    COVINGTON – Marley Stuart, Bev Marshall Award in Creative Writing; Kaylin Guillory, Ralph R. Pottle Sr. Honor Scholarship.
    DENHAM SPRINGS – Blayke Weatherford, Outstanding Senior in Music Performance; Tara Hymel, Outstanding Senior Award in Music Education; Elisabeth Odom, Outstanding Senior in General Studies; and William Dew, Outstanding Senior in Communication.
    HAMMOND – Priyanka Singh, F. Dale Parent Outstanding Senior Award in Sociology.
    JENNINGS – Katherine Wall, Outstanding Senior in English – Language and Literature.
    MANDEVILLE – Chance Phillips, Outstanding Senior in English – Language and Literature.
    PONCHATOULA – Aurora Olvera, Outstanding Senior in Fine Arts, Ceramics and Outstanding Senior in Spanish; Rian Earnest, Martina Buck Award in History.
    RACELAND – Brandon Bourg, D Vickers Award in Creative Writing and Harold Leu Award in Political Science.
    SLIDELL – Fernanda Chagas, Outstanding Senior in Graphic Design.
    WALKER – Nicole Hunt, Marc P. Riedel Outstanding Senior Award in Criminal Justice.
    ZACHARY – Kirsten Mixon, Outstanding Senior in English – Creative Writing.
    
    Also at the convocation, the college honored four faculty members with awards. Recognized were Jason Landrum, Excellence in Teaching; Margaret Gonzalez-Perez, Excellence in Research; David Armand, Excellence in Artistic Activity; and Amber Narro, Excellence in Service.
    The college honored inductees into the Southeastern chapter of Phi Kappa Phi national honor society and the university’s honor society the Thirteen Club.

2) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (East Baton Rouge) – Southeastern Louisiana University students Aimee Cullen, left, of Baton Rouge, and Kirsten Mixon of Zachary were honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ April 20 honors convocation. Cullen received the Director’s Award for Academic Excellence in General Studies, and Mixon received the Outstanding Senior Award in English – Creative Writing.

3) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (Jefferson Davis) - Southeastern Louisiana University student Katherine Wall, right, of Jennings was honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ April 20 honors convocation. Wall received the Outstanding Senior Award in English – Language and Literature. Congratulating her is Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Karen Fontenot.

4) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (Lafourche) -- Southeastern Louisiana University student Brandon Bourg from Raceland, right, was honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ April 20 honors convocation. Bourg received the D Vickers Award in Creative Writing and the Harold Leu Award in Political Science. Congratulating him is Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Karen Fontenot.

5) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (Livingston) – Southeastern Louisiana University students from Livingston Parish who were honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ April 20 honors convocation were, from left, Nicole Hunt of Walker, Marc P.
