Southeastern's University Jazz Combo and Faculty Jazz Trio to present concert

HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University Jazz Combo and Faculty Jazz Trio
will present a joint concert on Wednesday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m., in Pottle Music
Building Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of John Madere, lecturer of double bass, the University Jazz
Combo will present a program that includes “Alabama” by John Coltrane; “Tangerine”
by Victor Schertzinger and Johnny Mercer; “Pushing 3” by Madere; and “Sandu” by Clifford
Brown.
The Faculty Jazz Trio consists of Michael Brothers, drums, Vasil Cvetkov, piano,
and Madere, bass. The program includes “Nutville” by Horace Silver; “Whisper Not”
by Benny Golson; “How Deep Is The Ocean” by Irving Berlin; “Rhythm-A-Ning” by Thelonious
Monk and “One Five” by Madere.
