What is SeaPerch?

SeaPerch in an innovative underwater robotics program that equips students, educators, and parents with the resources they need to build an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) in an in- or out-of-school setting.

As an integrated STEM education program, SeaPerch is a great place to start on your journey to build a bot and learn how to use that bot for good.

Teachers & Community Coaches

Southeastern Northshore STEM Center hosts a New Coaches training each fall.

  • SeaPerch New Coaches Training

    Open to teachers, club sponsors, or STEM enthusiast interested in bringing hands-on underwater robotics to your students. The SeaPerch New Coaches Training, a comprehensive workshop designed to equip new coaches with the knowledge and tools needed to lead a successful SeaPerch team.

    During this interactive session, participants will:

    • Gain an overview of the SeaPerch program and competition structure

    • Learn best practices for guiding students through the engineering design process

    • Receive hands-on experience with building and troubleshooting a SeaPerch ROV

    • Explore classroom and extracurricular integration strategies

    • Connect with other educators and STEM advocates in the region

    No prior experience is necessary. This training is perfect for educators at all levels who are new to SeaPerch and are eager to dive into STEM with their students.

    All materials will be provided, and attendees will leave with valuable resources and a SeaPerch kit to get started.
