EDGE Program

Early Decision Guaranteed Entry

The EDGE Program is a direct-admit pathway for highly qualified high school seniors who
are interested in earning a nursing degree. This program guarantees admission to the School of Nursing for students.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Submit your application to Southeastern by January 15 of your senior year and
    declare nursing as your intended major.
  • Achieve at least a 3.7 high school GPA and earn a composite ACT score of at least 25 by January 15th of your senior year.

Program Requirements

Once admitted to the EDGE Program, students must:

  • Complete all nursing prerequisite courses within three semesters.
  • Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Earn a grade of C or higher in all nursing prerequisite courses.

Upon entering the School of Nursing, students must continue to meet all School of Nursing progression requirements to remain in the program.

This program offers a structured and supportive pathway for dedicated students to seamlessly transition into the nursing program and begin their journey toward a rewarding career in healthcare.
