The Honors advising process is designed to advise students on their academic progress through the Honors.
First-year Honors Program students are required to attend an advising session before priority scheduling opens. Your advising session will cover:
Only after first-year Honors students are advised by the Honors Program are they cleared for registration and given priority registration.
Continuing Honors Program students are not required to seek Honors Program advising each semester, however, they are encouraged to participate in advising through the Honors Advising Portal prior to the 4th semester if pursuing Sophomore Honors Distinction and early in the junior year if pursuing Senior Honors Distinction and/or the Honors Diploma.

NOTE: Honors advising only addresses issues specific to the Honors Program and should not be confused with academic advising in your major. You should see your academic advisor from your major at least once per year or as otherwise required by your department.
