Discovery and Renew are academic programs under the Department of Health and Human Sciences with the College of Nursing and Health Sciences of Southeastern Louisiana University. The projects are two of nine centers affiliated with the Louisiana Family Resource Centers Network an organization with members all across the state. Discovery was established in 1999 and Renew was established on November 12, 2009.
The Family Resource Projects provide a continuum of family preservation and support services for families. Our programs are currently offered in-person and online in both individual and group settings.
Renew is located in Hammond and is the sole provider for Region 3, which includes the parishes of: St. Tammany, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, East Feliciana, and West Feliciana.
Discovery is located in Baton Rouge and is the sole provider for Region 2, which includes the parishes of: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Iberville/West Baton Rouge, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, and St. John/St. James.
