What is Career Services?
The mission of Career Services is to assist Southeastern students and alumni with
their career exploration and job search processes by providing a wide array of valuable
career counseling and job search assistance services while meeting the hiring needs
of employers.

changing their major.
Where do I go to find out about part-time jobs and Internships?
How do I participate in On-Campus Interviews?
Employers will notify us thirty to sixty days in advance of the date they would like
to conduct their interviews. Career Services posts the interview information in Handshake and on the On-Campus Interview Schedule webpage. We also promote interviews via fliers posted around campus, emails to students,
and through informing appropriate faculty about the opportunities available.
What is Career Fair?
Career Fair is an annual, university-wide event held each fall semester, featuring over 150 local
and national employers seeking to fill available positions within their organization.
Employers use Career Fair as an opportunity to meet many candidates and determine
who would be the best fit for future interviews.
For Southeastern students and alumni, Career Fair is an excellent way to network with
organizations of interest and learn about other companies that could be viable places
of employment.
What is Handshake?

you will be able to create a resume in the system, or upload a current one, apply
for jobs and internships, sign up for On-Campus Interviews, and take career assessments.
