Graduate PLUS Credit Counseling

Per the US Department of Education, you recently applied for the Graduate PLUS Loan and have secured credit approval. However, in order for the PLUS Loan to be disbursed to your account, you must first complete the PLUS Loan Credit Counseling session on studentaid.gov. You can follow the steps below to complete this requirement:

PLUS Loan Credit Counseling

1. Log in to studentaid.gov using your FSA ID
2. Under the “Loans and Grants” drop down menu at the top of the page, click “PLUS Credit Counseling” on the left side and then click “START”
3. On the next page, click “START” under “Graduate/Professional Student”
4. Complete, sign, and submit the Credit Counseling Session.

Confirmation from the U.S. Department of Education is sent to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships within 3-5 business days once you have completed the requirement. Provided all other remaining steps are completed, the funding will be eligible for disbursement on the appropriate date.
