How to Access Southeastern’s Wireless Network

To access Southeastern’s campus Wi-Fi, you must be a student, faculty, or staff member, or have guest access provided by one.  These instructions will assist you in logging in to the new wifi network named Southeastern_Wifi.

Students, faculty or staff members, take the following steps:

  • Log in to your Okta portal.
  • From your Okta dashboard, click the Cloudpath icon.

  • On the Cloudpath Welcome screen, click “Start”.

  • To generate your own unique passphrase for your own personal devices, click “My Personal Devices”.

  • A unique passphrase for your devices is shown.  Use this passphrase to log in to the Southeastern_Wifi network.  You can use this passphrase for up to 10 devices, and the passphrase is good for six months.  If you would like to customize the passphrase so it is easier to remember, click the “Click to access My Portal” link.

  • Click the “Access Your Portal” button.

  • Click the “Reset Wi-Fi Passphrase button

  • On the Change Your Wi-Fi Passphrase screen, enter your new passphrase, and then click the “Change” button.

  • In the Cloudpath Portal, you can click the Show/Hide Passphrase button to see your passphrase. You can now use this passphrase for up to 10 of your personal devices.  Do not share this passphrase with others.  You will receive a confirmation email containing your passphrase.

How a Student, Faculty, or Staff Member can Grant Wi-Fi Access to a Guest

Authorized users (students, faculty, or staff) can grant temporary wifi access to guests using the Southeastern_Guest network.

.  Guest passphrases expire after two days.

To grant access to a guest:

  • Log in to your Okta account and click the Cloudpath icon.
  • Click Start.
  • Click “My Guest Devices”.

  • The system will generate a passphrase which you can give to your guest to log in to the new wifi network named Southeastern_Guest, or your guest can scan the QR code with their device to automatically connect. This passphrase is good for 2 days.  You will receive a confirmation email containing the guest passphrase.
