About

The Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability is responsible for administering a campus-wide student disciplinary system, one that is student-centered and based on educational and developmental principles. We strive to uphold community standards while respecting the rights of the individual. Our student disciplinary process embraces the principles of fair play, compassion, empathetic understanding, objectivity, respect for human dignity, and the search for truth.

As a department within the Division for Student Affairs, the mission of Student Advocacy and Accountability is to enhance the learning environment for members of the Southeastern Louisiana University Community. This is accomplished by:

  1. Educating Southeastern students and student organizations about their rights, responsibilities, and expectations as members of a community.
  2. Providing a fair and EDUCATIONAL process for students and student organizations through which alleged violations of the University Code of Conduct are resolved.
  3. Enhance learning through educational interventions and trainings that foster student development.

To embrace every opportunity to engage and educate students and student organizations to encompass the highest standard of academic and personal conduct.
