About the SLBC
The Southeast Louisiana Business Center facility is a two-story structure built in 1985 with approximately 17,000 square feet of office space, including a library, business services center, and business incubator space for new start-up small businesses. Renovation of the first floor was completed in April, 2003, and Southeastern's Small Business Development Center, Hammond Industrial Development Board, and Tangipahoa Economic Development Foundation were the first to move into spaces on the first floor. With the opening of the Business Center, Southeastern's Small Business Development Center continues its mission to extend a nurturing environment to start-up and expanding small businesses in the area.

services and support. According to the National Business Incubation Association, the
overall success rate for businesses that begin in an incubator is 80 percent.
