About the SLBC

Southeastern has a long-standing commitment to facilitating economic development and supporting the work of economic development organizations, agencies, and professionals. Twenty years ago, Southeastern expended $1.5 million in resources to purchase and renovate a building that would become a regional one-stop shop for economic and business development activity in the five-parish region of Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes.
The facility, known as the Southeast Louisiana Business Center (SLBC), is a 17,000-square-foot, two-story, New Orleans French Quarter-style building with close proximity to I-12 and I-55 and just off the main campus. The Center has thirty-seven offices, five conference rooms of varying sizes, a 75-person capacity conference center, private parking, and on-site professional management. Located at 1514 Martens Drive, the most prominent tenants include those associated with the incubator, the Louisiana Small Business Center, and the Business Research Center.
