Activities During College:
During college, I worked on campus at The Document Source and volunteered for my local youth association as a basketball and softball coach.
What’s the most rewarding part of helping a student find their college fit?
As a former teacher, my favorite part was seeing how what I taught my students shaped their journeys. Now, in my role as an admissions counselor, I get to experience that impact on a much larger scale. Helping students take their first step toward college, and guiding them to find the right fit where they can thrive and pursue their passions, is incredibly rewarding. Knowing I’ve played a role in setting them up for success makes this work so fulfilling.
What do you wish students knew about the admissions process?
I wish students knew that the admissions process is meant to be a supportive journey, not something you have to tackle alone. Asking for help is not only okay but the sooner you reach out, the more guidance we can provide. We’re here to work with you every step of the way.
Fun Fact
I met my husband at Southeastern when we were 19, and we have been inseparable ever since. Southeastern will always hold a special place in my heart!
