Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a Financial Relief Grant, students must:
- Be a degree seeking graduate or undergraduate student, including 100% online programs
- Enrolled for Spring 2022 semester
Certification Process
All certifications must be received by Friday, May 6, 2022, the last day of Spring
2022 classes. Funding is not guaranteed after the May 6 deadline.
To complete the certification:
- Enter My Den and login to LEONet
- Select Self Service > Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II)
- Once complete, press (accept)
Receiving Funds
Financial Relief Grant funds will be processed through BankMobile according to the
student’s selected refund preference. If you have not completed the setup process,
please login to LEONet to do so in order to reduce delays. Instructions to complete
this process can be found at southeastern.edu/bankmobile.
Students may choose to apply their award directly to their university balance, select
“YES” on the second item on the certification page. If you choose not to apply your grant to your university balance, select “NO” for the second item on the
certification page. This will allow the full amount to be released directly to you
through your preferences selected in BankMobile

Awarding Methodology
Award amounts will be prorated based on enrollment. Students who are enrolled full
time will receive more funds than a student enrolled part time.

CRRSA Act Awards
Southeastern Louisiana University received $5.29 million from the Coronavirus Response
and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA Act) for student grants associated
with increased costs of attendance due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Populations eligible to receive grants include degree seeking full and part time graduate
and undergraduate students as well as students enrolled in 100% online programs. Non-degree
seeking, non-credit, dual enrollment, continuing education, and International students
are not eligible for funds per requirements of the CRRSA Act.

CARES Act
Southeastern distributed $5,290,100 in financial relief grants to students facing
financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus. Funds for awards are being made
available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act,
and the Southeastern Foundation. Based on the federal legislation and regulatory guidance,
most students will be eligible to apply for relief grants.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a Financial Relief Grant or Strengthening Institution
(SIP) Awards for Summer 2020, students must:
- Be a degree seeking graduate or undergraduate student
- Enrolled for Summer 2020 courses at the time of Award
- Must have been enrolled during the Spring 2020 semester
- Not enrolled in a 100% online program
- Meet all standards of satisfactory academic progress as stated in the Southeastern Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy as required under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965
Application Process
No application is required for Summer 2020 awarding. To receive a SIP Award, the student
must have a FAFSA on file with an Estimated Family Contribution that meets the eligibility
criteria for Pell.
Receiving Funds
Financial Relief Grant funds will be processed through BankMobile according to the
student’s selected refund preference. If you have not completed the setup process,
please login to LEONet to do so in order to reduce delays. Instructions to complete
this process can be found at southeastern.edu/bankmobile.
Students who receive SIP Awards will have the amount posted to their LEONet account.
Notification Process
Notification of awarding is sent to the sent to the student’s campus webmail account.
Awarding Methodology
Award amounts will be determined based on the number of students who are eligible,
total funds available, and varying levels of need. Award amounts will be prorated based on enrollment. Students who are enrolled full
time will receive more funds than a student enrolled part time.
Financial Relief Grant funds are awarded first. SIP Awards are utilized once grant
funds are exhausted.
