Sherri Alker is an Instructor of Nursing at Southeastern with a Master’s in Nursing. She brings over 30 years of nursing experience and 19 years in nursing education. She began her career as an OB nurse and later expanded her expertise in pediatrics, surgery, and dialysis. With a strong passion for teaching and mentoring, Sherri is dedicated to guiding the next generation of nurses, helping students build both the knowledge and confidence needed for success in the profession. Her favorite subject to teach is Anatomy and Physiology, where she enjoys connecting complex concepts to real-world nursing practice. She finds great fulfillment in shaping future healthcare professionals and sharing the values of compassion, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.

Area of Expertise

Anatomy and Physiology. She is also experienced in writing curriculum for nursing programs, ensuring content is engaging, comprehensive, and prepares students for clinical excellence.
