The Masters in English provides professional development and training in creative, critical, and professional writing. Our flexible program offers optional concentrations in Creative Writing, Language & Literacy, Professional Writing and Publishing Studies. Graduates work in a variety of fields including publishing, media, public relations, law, and education.

  • Non-Thesis Option: 36 hours of English
  • Maximum of six graduate hours in a related field

  • 1 Theory & Methods Course: ENGL 575, 577, or 585
  • At least 18 hours of coursework at 600 level
  • Thesis Option: 36 hours of English
