Honors and Awards
Southeastern Freshman Scholastic Achievement Award
Southeastern recognizes the level of academic achievements that Literary Rally participants possess. To honor those who excel during the rally, a scholarship is given to all first place winners who attend Southeastern after high school graduation.
Scholarship Amount
Eligibility
In order to receive the award, recipients must enroll as a full-time regularly enrolled student at Southeastern Louisiana University within a period of one year following their date of high school graduation.
Recipients must maintain an academic average of 2.0 each regular semester (Fall and Spring) in order to retain the balance of the scholarship.
Recipients who terminate enrollment at any time will lose the remaining portion of the scholarships. If the student feels his termination is caused by unusual circumstances, he should appeal his case to the Director of the Southeast Louisiana District Literary Rally.
How to Claim the Award
All awards will be credited to the student's tuition and fees at the time of their enrollment and registration at Southeastern. There are no additional actions that the recipient needs to complete.
Medals and Certificates
All District Rally participants who are in qualifying positions for state competition will receive District Rally qualifier certificates and medals to show their achievements at the District level. This includes those who are the second entry from the same school and not eligible to compete at State Rally.
Certificates are also given to all recipients of the Southeastern Freshman Scholastic Achievement Award that may be given out during their high school's awards ceremony.
All certificates and medals are mailed to the High School Rally Coordinator once all scores and results are finalized.
