Mission of Career Services:

We guide Southeastern students and alumni on their journey to career success by providing essential consulting and job search support, while serving as a vital link between our talent and the employers who need them.

Career Services supports all Southeastern students—both undergraduate and graduate—across all majors. We also serve alumni, whether you’re a recent graduate entering the workforce or an experienced professional exploring a career change.

Check out our Launch Your Job Search page that includes information on our events such as Part-Time Job Fest as well as tips on how to find a job.

Career Expo is an annual, university-wide event held each fall semester, featuring over 150 local and national employers seeking to fill available positions within their organization. This is an excellent way for students to network with companies of interest and learn more about the opportunities they have to offer.

First or second semester freshmen, contact your First Year Success Advisor.

Third semester freshmen through seniors, contact the Academic and Career Exploration (ACE) Coaches.

Appointments are available to all Southeastern students—regardless of classification or major—as well as alumni. Career Consultants can help with exploring career goals, reviewing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, job search strategies, and more.

To schedule an appointment, log in to Handshake and click Career Center to view available appointment times. You can also schedule by emailing [email protected] or calling(985) 549-2121.

Career Services posts the interview information in Handshake and on the On-Campus Interview Schedule webpage. We also promote interviews via fliers posted around campus, emails to students, and through informing appropriate faculty about the opportunities available.
