Teaching Technologies

The Canvas Asynchronous Training for Southeastern (CATS) course provides faculty with a rich training experience and the resources to navigate Canvas efficiently.

LMS stands for Learning Management System. At Southeastern, the official LMS is Canvas by Instructure.  An LMS is a software application that provides the framework that handles all aspects of the learning process – it’s where you house, deliver, and assess your teaching content.

If you have requests related to the LMS, you will find those request forms here in the CFE Resource Canvas Course. Or, you can contact the LMS Administrator through the Office of Technology Help Desk, or email [email protected].  These requests include:

  • Sandbox Requests
  • Course Move Requests
  • Student Incomplete Requests
  • Faculty Access Requests

Training resources related to using the Canvas LMS can be found in Canvas as well. Faculty have access to:
