April 13 – April 24
Online Contest – A faculty/staff online contest will be held every weekday where questions about Southeastern will be posted here and on the News and Events link on the home page. Winning entries will compete in a drawing for the prize of the day.
Social Media Contest -- Check the Southeastern Facebook page, Twitter account and Instagram every Monday, Wednesday and Friday over the two weeks for a separate contest for social media users.
Employee Spotlight Awards – Southeastern is sponsoring its Employee Spotlight Award that gives employees (full time or part time) the opportunity to nominate for special recognition their fellow employees who demonstrate a positive attitude, resourcefulness, customer service and/or completion of special projects. Three employees will be recognized in the categories of faculty, unclassified staff, and classified staff. Click here to nominate your special employee. The recognition will include a reserved parking spot on campus for one month, a certificate and brief article with photo in ByLion.
April 15 - 16
Jewelry Show – Participate in the Alumni Association's annual $6.00 Jewelry Show held at the Student Union, where you'll have the opportunity to stock up on quality, but inexpensive jewelry and other decorative items.
April 16
Who says there's no free lunch? – All employees are invited to a free lunch at The Mane Dish (second floor, Student Union) from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. coordinated by Human Resources and sponsored by Aramark and Voya with door prizes sponsored by LaCap Federal Credit Union. Present university ID for entrance.
Lion Dedication – Join us for a brief ceremony in the Student Union west entrance at 11 a.m. where the Alumni Association will formally present to the university a carved marble lion sculpture.

Employee Tailgate & Baseball – Enjoy tailgating at 4:30 p.m. with your fellow employees at Alumni Field, then get your free ticket to watch the Southland Conference-leading Lions take on the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at 6 p.m. (Additional tickets available for $5 each.)
April 21 – 22
Bookstore Customer Appreciation Sale – extended hours from 5-7 p.m. exclusively for Southeastern employees featuring refreshments and door prizes.
April 23
University Alumni Chapter hosts free employee luncheon – All employees are invited to attend the free University Alumni Chapter lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alumni Center. Enjoy a free lunch, stress-relief neck messages, and door prizes courtesy of the Alumni Association.
April 24
Drawing for Employee Spotlight Awards – Special drawing and announcement of the winners of the Employee Spotlight Awards contest.
May 4 – 8
Bookstore Discount – Employees can enjoy a 25% discount on your entire purchase.
