Wine Tasting to Benefit Sims Library

Thursday, September 15, 2022 1:01:13 PM CDT

Friends of Sims Library will host its fourteenth annual Wine with Friends fundraiser to benefit Southeastern’s Sims Memorial Library, on Friday, November 4, at Sims Library.

The popular event will feature six wines paired with food samplings, live music, a silent auction that boasts art, books, wine and gift certificates for restaurants, events, and services. “Wines will be introduced by Todd Delaune from The Red, White and Brew in downtown Hammond. Todd will provide details about the wine’s history and flavor adding to the evening’s culinary experience,” said Eric Johnson, Executive Board President of the Friends.

The Friends of Sims Library is the organization that supports the activities and collections of the library. Funds generated by the Friends are used to supplement the library’s annual budget, purchase needed equipment and resources, and provide programs, lectures, author readings and signings, and other special events.

Tickets are $70 each. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the tasting beginning at 7 p.m. Space is limited, so please make reservations by October 28 to guarantee seating. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
