HAMMOND – When ABC's "Good Morning America" airs Thursday morning, the network's back-to-school feature will include a number of scenes shot on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University and in the city of Hammond.

Robin Roberts, co-anchor of the network morning show, will narrate a segment in which she recalls her college years as a student and star player on the Lady Lions basketball team.

A team from ABC was in town last week. On Southeastern's campus, the production crew visited the University Center, where Roberts played basketball; KSLU radio station, where she served as a sports reporter; and various other campus scenes. Southeastern's cheerleaders, Lionettes dance team and students open the segment with a greeting from the university.

The production crew also visited Northshore Broadcasting in downtown Hammond, where they interviewed some of Roberts' former employers and co-workers. Other sites shot during the visit were the Brown Door, Lee's and Brady's restaurants.
