HAMMOND- Southeastern Louisiana University alumnus and Emeritus Professor of History C. Howard Nichols signs his newly released book Tuesday for Tom Davis of Covington at an event held at the university bookstore. The book, “Stories of a Rivertown: Covington, Louisiana at 200 Years,” is a record of stories and photos that illuminate the people, events, culture and traditional practices that have been a part of the town for two centuries. A specialist in local and regional history, Nichols is a charter member of the St. Tammany Historical Society. Information on the book can be obtained via email at trackside7@gmail.com.
