HAMMOND – The Louisiana SBDC at Southeastern Louisiana University will host a seminar
Tuesday, Aug. 2, in Madisonville on finances for businesses.
The free seminar, “Running Your Business by the Numbers,” will be held in partnership
with the St. Tammany Parish Library, St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation,
St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce and SCORE Northshore Chapter from 9 to 11 a.m.
at the St. Tammany Parish Library, 1123 Main Street in Madisonville.
“If you’re using accounting software, it’s fairly easy to run financial reports;
but what then?” said Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Small Business Development
Center. “There are so many numbers to look at that it can be overwhelming. Which numbers
are most important to monitor the health of your business? Which numbers should you
track to ensure that your business is growing properly, is ready for sale, or can
raise capital? This event can help identify the numbers most critical to the success
of a business.”
There is no cost to attend; however, pre-registration is preferred. Register
online at www.lsbdc.org.
