Southeastern to celebrate community, academics with Rock ‘n Roar on February 24

HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s annual campus-community festival “Rock
‘n Roar” is scheduled in the Student Union from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb.
24, and promises to be a fun-filled day for students and local families.
In its 22nd year, Rock ‘n Roar showcases Southeastern’s academics and fun atmosphere
for approximately 2,900 students from more than 80 visiting District 8 Literary Rally
high schools, as well as Southeastern students, alumni and community friends, said
Executive Director of Alumni Relations Michelle Biggs
“With no charge for admission to Rock ‘n Roar, patrons of all ages can enjoy
educational displays by Southeastern’s departments, food, music and more,” Biggs said.
“Rock ‘n Roar will also feature a variety of children’s games and activities.”
