Message From the Interim Provost
Wishing All of You a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here and this very challenging semester
is almost over! As I take a moment to reflect on things I am most grateful for, I
think of you. I am so grateful to be surrounded by a campus community that goes above
and beyond to help our students and each other. I am so grateful to be part of a university
where excellence and caring are the norm, not the exception. These values are banners
we wear proudly and display as our core values.
EXCELLENCE:
Continually striving for the highest level of achievement; overcoming challenges with reflection, improvement, innovation and reinvention.

CARING:
Serving the needs of others with respect, understanding and compassion; affirming the differences among individuals, values and ideas.

The Thanksgiving season is also a time to remember those who are struggling. Many of our faculty, staff and students are struggling -- some as they continue to
recover and rebuild from the historic flooding, and others from life circumstances.
I ask for your continued understanding and compassion as we accommodate individual
needs.
Thank you for everything you do to make Southeastern a great university. I hope you
have a wonderful break filled with joy and laughter.
Happy Thanksgiving.
