Message From the Interim Provost

Wishing All of You a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here and this very challenging semester is almost over! As I take a moment to reflect on things I am most grateful for, I think of you. I am so grateful to be surrounded by a campus community that goes above and beyond to help our students and each other. I am so grateful to be part of a university where excellence and caring are the norm, not the exception. These values are banners we wear proudly and display as our core values.
Continually striving for the highest level of achievement; overcoming challenges with reflection, improvement, innovation and reinvention.
Serving the needs of others with respect, understanding and compassion; affirming the differences among individuals, values and ideas.
The Thanksgiving season is also a time to remember those who are struggling.  Many of our faculty, staff and students are struggling -- some as they continue to recover and rebuild from the historic flooding, and others from life circumstances. I ask for your continued understanding and compassion as we accommodate individual needs.
Thank you for everything you do to make Southeastern a great university. I hope you have a wonderful break filled with joy and laughter.
Happy Thanksgiving.
