Our Summer and Fall Orientation Programs follow a hybrid format with an in-person and online component! We will provide you with your course schedule for the upcoming semester! Your in-person Orientation experience will be full of programs and activities to prepare you for life as a Southeastern student.
Orientation is the time to learn even more about important campus resources and opportunities available to enhance your college experience. Orientation consists of: virtual advising, course enrollment, an in-person experience, and the mandatory completion of our online modules within Canvas.
Look for more information about online orientation within Canvas in your personal email. You will be invited to complete this portion closer to the Fall semester.
ALL beginning freshmen and transfer students with less than 30 hours of college credit are required to complete our Orientation.
Mandatory Orientation requirements consist of: an in-person experience, and the completion of our online modules within Canvas.
First, you must complete your onboarding in Workday. Instructions for this have been sent directly to the email address you used to apply.
This year, the First Year Success team of advisors will schedule your classes based on your test scores and any relevant coursework completed. Only once you attend the on-campus Orientation program will you be allowed to make changes and confirm your enrollment for the Fall semester.
There is no fee associated with Southeastern’s Orientation program.
You will be able to complete all steps of your online Orientation at your own pace! Remember, the sooner you register for Orientation, get your schedule, and enroll in courses, the sooner you will get to complete our online modules within Canvas! You will be able to complete the modules at your own pace (it will take about 2 hours to complete, but you do not need to complete it all in one sitting; it will pick up where you left off).
