Tutoring Center Coordinator
Marie Bernard coordinates the Center for Student Excellence Tutoring Center. She received her B.A. in Education and her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Southeastern Louisiana University. She has spent over twenty years inside the classroom and as a school administrator. During her employment at Southeastern. She has worked in the Athletics Department as Learning Specialist for the student-athletes and recently worked in the Center for Student Excellence as an SE 101 Instructor and Academic Advisor. Marie now brings her love and passion for education to the Tutoring Center.
Hey, my name is Kimberly, and I am a Graduate Assistant in the Tutoring Center. I
am a graduate student pursuing my Masters in Exercise Science and Helath Promotion.
I graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in Leadership Development.
I enjoy being around other people and helping learn and grow.
Hey y'all! My name is Shelbie Guidry, and I am a Graduate Assistant for the Tutoring Center. I am from a town right outside of New Orleans called Luling. I received my bachelors degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am currently obtaining my masters degree in Commuication Sciences and Disorders to one day become a SPeech Language Pathologist. My hope after graduation is to work on a Neurological Rehab Unit with stroke and brain injury patients. I am very passionate about helping people, and I know this career will allow me to have an endless amount of opportunities to do so.
My name is Mary-Danse Jarratt, and I am a Graduate Assistant in the Tutoring Center! I received my undergraduate degree in Fashion Merchandising from SLU in 2018, and I am currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree Program in Counseling. As much as I enjoy the field of fashion, I am ready to embark on this new journey in counseling. I have lived in Hammond my whole life, and I love it here! I am so excited to start this school year working in the Tutoring Center!
Hey there! My name is Rachel. I am a graduate assistant at the Tutoring Center, and I was also a tutor for two and a half years before becoming a GA. My undergraduate degree is in accounting, and I am in the MBA program planning on becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) after graduation. I'm looking forward to a great semester with all of you!
Hi, welcome to the tutoring center. My name is Danielle. I am a graduate student studying counseling with a concentration in marriage, couple, and family. I received a B.S in Family and Child Studies with a focus in Family Science and a minor in gerontology, at Louisiana Tech University. Education is a massive part of my life; I enjoy learning to expand my knowledge and meeting new people.
