If you get a message that states
“Not accepting cookies”
,
“Unable to send cookie”
or a
“Security Alert” box
that asks you if you want to allow a “cookie” to be sent or saved when you are working
in an index/database or catalog, you may need to change your browser settings to enable
cookies.
What are Cookies?
“Cookies” are small text files that contain information about the choices you make
while searching a catalog, index, or database.
Why do I need to enable Cookies?
In many catalogs and indexes/databases, the cookies are needed to enable features
such as search history, marked lists, and other services associated with the index.
In order to search the Library’s catalog, indexes and databases your Internet browser,
e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox, must be configured to enable “cookies” to be sent
to your computer.
