KSLU Radio

The university's radio station is heard throughout Hammond and the surrounding communities. Many announcers are communication students training for careers in the broadcast industry.  

The Southeastern Channel

Southeastern Channel

The university's 24/7 educational cable television channel reaches into more than 94,000 homes in the region through the Charter Communications cable system.

 

Honor Roll
Community Service Honor Roll

Southeastern recently was named to the President's Higher Education Honor Roll for Community Service for the fourth consecutive year. This year's honor resulted from 4,500 students providing 120,000 hours of service to national and area non-profits and other organizations in 2013-2014. Combined with 12,000 faculty and staff volunteer hours, the estimated value of this work is $2.8 million.

Non-Credit Programs

Southeastern offers a variety of non-credit programs including short courses, workshops and special training. Courses are available on campus, off campus and online throughout the year. Classes are offered in numerous fields, including business, technology, foreign languages, test preparation, enrichment and more.
