Southeastern's Police Department will host a women's self-defense class March 29-30. The class is free for current students and employees. The first part will be held Saturday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the second part on Sunday, March 30, from noon to 5 p.m. There will be classroom instruction as well as physical, active defense training. Class size is limited, and the class location will be given to registered attendees only. Email RAD@selu.edu for info & registration.
Southeastern has opened an on-campus food pantry to help meet the nutritional needs of its students. Located in room 226 of Mims Hall, the food pantry is operated by alumni and community volunteers and is open Tuesdays from 8 to 11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. The pantry was established through funds from the "Phil the Pig" student philanthropy project, the Southeastern Foundation and the Office of Multicultural and International Student Affairs.
